Our Story: How It All Began
In 2013, Lisa Stanley and Belinda Wagner found themselves in a heartfelt conversation about the challenges women entrepreneurs face especially the lack of dedicated spaces to connect, learn, and grow together. They dreamed of creating a warm, supportive community where women could uplift one another, share experiences, and build lasting business relationships.
That vision became reality in October 2013, when Diamonds Women’s Network held its first event in Johannesburg. Since then, our community has grown, expanding to Ireland and Cape Town, bringing together women from all walks of life. Along the way, we’ve welcomed inspiring guest speakers, hosted meaningful conversations, and ensured that personal well-being is just as much a part of success as business growth.
We are proud to embrace multi-generational leadership, ensuring fresh ideas and new perspectives including from our Gen Z director help shape the future of entrepreneurship. Most recently, we introduced the NEXT Programme, a dedicated initiative to support and nurture the next wave of women leaders.
Through it all, Lisa and Belinda remain at the heart of this journey, guiding the network with the same passion and purpose that sparked its creation. Diamonds Women’s Network is more than just a space it’s a sisterhood. A place where women encourage, empower, and celebrate one another.
